Advanced Imaging
Aside from experience and training, our diagnostic equipment is one of the features that sets Bridger Veterinary Specialists & Emergency apart. We pride ourselves in having state-of-the-art machines to help us correctly diagnose your pet.
MRI: Siemens Avanto 1.5 Tesla
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is an imaging method that allows us to look at the soft tissue structures of the body.
- Images of the brain and spinal cord
- Visualization of brain tumors not visible with other imaging methods
- Evaluation of tendon injuries
- Intervertebral disc disease
- Lumbosacral disease
High-Resolution Digital Radiography
Hard films are mostly a thing of the past. Digital radiograph allows rapid acquisition with extreme detail to help us find some of the most subtle lesions. Digital format allows images to be easily sent to you, your family veterinarian, as well as specialists across the world instantly!
GE Logiq S8 Ultrasound
Technology advancements in ultrasound have been exponential. Ultrasound enables high-resolution imaging of internal organs like kidneys, liver, spleen, and adrenals. It also allows detailed evaluation of heart function. Our ultrasound is one of the latest and greatest made from the ultrasound giant GE.
OEC 9800 C-arm: Fluoroscopy
Flouroscopy is basically a moving x-ray. It allows us to diagnose complex swallowing disorders as well as to perform minimally invasive procedures of the urinary tract. It also enables precise placement of surgical implants and often allows for smaller surgical approaches. This unit is the same one found in most human hospitals.
CT: Siemens Emotion 16-slice Helical Computed Tomography Scanner
CT is a rapid way to produce high-detail, 3-dimensional images of the head, neck, chest, abdomen, bones, and joints of cats and dogs.
Our CT scanner's multi-slice technology allows us to image our patients faster, reducing anesthesia times, creating higher-resolution images, and improving our diagnostic capabilities. CT is particularly useful for:
- Improved evaluation of the lungs
- Staging cancer
- Planning advanced cancer surgeries
- Vascular studies
- Evaluation of the urinary tract
- 3D reconstructions
- Evaluation of joint and complex limb alignment problems
